New Feature – Search Filter Defines Access To Records

LeadMaster has rolled out another new feature.  By using the search filter you can restrict access to records.  For example, suppose you want a rep to see only the records in Texas, or just the records for a particular campaign, or a specific industry / SIC code, or limit access by the lead source or perhaps all of the above.  Now all you have to do is go into internal setting of logon management and check the box next to ‘Limit Access to Records Using a Search Filter’.

Once you click the check box you’ll be presented with the LeadMaster search engine where you can select your choice of things to search on.

The restrictions you add via the search engine will be in addition to any restrictions placed on the user account already in place.  To clarify, if a user can’t see records before the search engine restrictions they won’t be able to see them after the search engine restrictions.  For example, suppose a partner rep had access to all the records in the state of Texas you might use a search filter to restrict their access to the records only in Dallas and Houston.

Great new feature – Workflow automation adds text message alerts

Automation and Workflow Management now has a Send Text Message Action.  You will be able to send a text message to the account manager, partner rep or a specific phone number.  The text message will include a subject and can include data from the record.

For example, suppose you have a registration page for an upcoming webinar and you’ve used the map web forms to custom forms tool to have the registrations flow into the LeadMaster system.  Now you can get a text message whenever anyone submits the registration form.  In addition you can create a email template that contains the name, company, phone and email of the registrant.  That might be important to know if someone like the CEO registers for the webinar.

Or perhaps you have a landing page and you’d like to know when someone has filled out the form.  You’ll get instant notification and you’ll be able to call them back within a few seconds.  That always surprises people when I do it.  They say, but I just clicked the button.  How did you know I was on your site?  I say, sign up for LeadMaster and find out.

  • You can send a text message to the account manager associated with the record.
  • You can send a text message to the partner rep associated with the record.
  • You can send a text message to a phone number, the phone number must be entered and mobile provider selected.  This is the option I use.

LeadMaster May Newsletter – Marketing Automation

The topic for this month is Marketing Automation.  I’m pleased to have James Obermayer, the Executive Director of the Sales Lead Management Association as a guest columnist for this month’s newsletter.  The SLMA’s most recent white paper, the subject of this month’s newsletter, explains why marketers deceived themselves and have accepted a sales inquiry follow-up average of only 10-25%, which in any other area of business would be a  failure.  The author, compares the reasons for failure of the space shuttle Columbia and Toyota with businesses that waste 75% of their marketing budget.  It is a compelling argument and a worthwhile read.  Click here to download the entire white paper.
